Honda Debuting Two Designed-for-China Concepts at Beijing Auto Show

Honda Debuting Two Designed-for-China Concepts at Beijing Auto Show The Chinese car market may be plateauing, but that isn’t stopping Honda and Acura from expanding their product lineups in the country. Honda’s future in China will likely include a production version of two concepts cars the automaker just teased in advance of their Beijing auto show debut.

Honda hasn’t released details on the teased concepts, but did say both will “focus on Chinese customers.” The first sketch appears to shadow the Honda Odyssey and even features a subtle version of the Odyssey’s unique belt line with the lightning bolt kink at the rear quarter window. We’re guessing this could be a smaller and more efficient MPV-style people mover rather than a full-sized minivan.

The next concept appears to be a coupe or coupe-like sedan with Accord-like design cues. Unlike the Accord, however, the sketch reveals a car with much more muscular haunches. Joining these two concepts will be the CR-Z, Insight, and Fit hybrid, all of which are set to go on sale later this year.
